A standard Saturday rental at Abyss is $1,595, compared with $1,995 at Ridgewood Hall and Marte Hall. That makes Abyss a strong value for hosts who need room for as many as 120 guests without paying the higher base rate of another same-capacity venue.
Abyss Hall is especially useful for hosts who already have a preferred caterer, DJ or decorator. Instead of paying a mandatory per-person catering price, you rent the room at a flat base rate and arrange the rest of the celebration according to your needs and budget.

Pricing
The listed room prices are base rates and do not include the 8.875% sales tax. Optional add-ons and event-dependent services may also be additional. Your written quote will identify the base rate, required fees, and selected services before you book.
Saturday daytime and brunch special: Events that end by 5 p.m. receive $500 off the standard Saturday base rate, reducing the qualifying Abyss Hall base rate from $1,595 to $1,095.
An $800 deposit and completed booking paperwork are required to secure your date. Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and are not held by phone.

Where will my guests park?
Parking is primarily available on the streets surrounding the venue. Guests who drive should allow additional time to find a space, particularly for evening and weekend events. The J train’s 111th Street station is also several blocks away.
How much time do I get to set up?
A standard rental includes two setup hours before the six-hour event period. Confirm your exact arrival, setup and event times in the rental agreement, especially if your caterer, decorator and DJ all need access.
